FAQ: hypnosis

How does hypnosis work?

Hypnotic states enhance neuroplasticity, opening a state of heightened receptivity where new emotional and mental patterns can be formed. This is similar to plant medicine, deep meditation, and other altered states of consciousness. In this flexible, rewiring state, temporary neural pathways open as emotional centers (the amygdala and limbic system) communicate more fluidly with the rational centers (the prefrontal cortex). This allows old experiences to be reprocessed and released rather than staying locked in the body as raw, unintegrated emotion. Subconscious imprints and deep emotions can be re-encoded within a new context of understanding and compassion.

How to integrate the session?

After a session, the new connections can be stabilized through conscious integration of the information and energies received. Repetition of these insights and the embodiment of new choices reinforce the pathways, making them permanent. Each time you revisit the insights that arose during the session, you strengthen the new neural pathways. Re-listening to the recording or reconnecting with the received visions and energies in meditation is especially powerful.

When the new patterns are not reinforced, the brain tends to return to old default pathways. In that case, the memory of the new wiring remains, making it easier to access again later on.

Can anyone access a hypnotic state?

Yes, absolutely. A hypnotic state is a deeply relaxed and meditative state, similar to the one we experience just before falling asleep. In everyday life, we already connect with our subconscious through dreams, emotions, intuitive insights, and creative flow. We are far more familiar with these states than we often realize.

However, someone with a very left-brained orientation might initially find it harder to surrender into hypnosis, as their mind is trained to structure reality in a highly analytical, linear, and fixed way. The tools I use are designed to bypass mental filters and resistance, allowing you to move into deeper states effortlessly.

Hypnosis is a co-creative experience, where the shared energetic field between facilitator and client allows access to deeper states that are often difficult to reach alone. Because of this, no prior experience or skill is needed, just an open mind and willingness to gain greater self-awareness.
